Who is Pancracia Sirvent and why is she such a pain in the ass for Spanish Rhythmic Gymnastics?
The woman in question here, came into the RFEG last year and took Jesus Carballo's spot as the Director of RG program.
Antonio Esteban who has strictly been a front man without a vote or an opinion on any of the RFEG's final decisions, was the one who placed Pancracia Sirvent in that position.
The moment Pancracia took that position, she started making changes to benefit her self personally and her close friends from Castilla Leon.
Efrossina Angelova's contract clearly states that she was hired as the Spanish Entrenadora , which means both individual and group gymnasts and their coaches and the rest of the Spanish Rhythmic Gymnastics community is to be over looked by Efrossina Angelova till the end of the 2012 Olympic Cycle. Efrossina Anglova's plans were scrapped by Pancracia Sirvent, who decided to give her self the position of Entrenadora for the Spanish Individual Team and leave the Senior Group Team to Efrossina Angelova. Regardless of the fact that Efrossina Angelova was totally against this change and regardless of the fact that it was contractually illegal, Antonio Esteban allowed Pancracia to do whatever she wanted.
However, Pancracia was not satisfied with just having control over the Individual RG Team.
I - Stella Angelova - prior to European Championship, decided to edit and release a video that I filmed in Spain while working with the Spanish Group Team, in which I wanted to show how much work this team and their coaches were putting in on daily basis. The video was loved by the girls in the senior group team and they felt inspired by it. With that video, just like with the previous ones that I have edited my self, I am promoting and generating interest not only in Spain, but most importantly I am generating International Interest and putting the Spot Light on the Spanish Group Team in a very big way! Gymnasts, coaches and judges have come to watch the Spanish Group team at their competition practices. When was the last time you had that much buzz surrounding the Spanish group team?? It's been a while, no?
The problem is that in that particular video, I showed the gymnasts crying and the coach screaming!! WOW! How dare I show such a thing?? Pancracia Sirvent was appalled and angered by that video! She demanded that video to be taken down off of the internet! She refused to speak to Efrossina Angelova or the senior group gymnasts after their awesome performance at the European Championship. Pancracia Sirvent maybe has not seen the Thousands of videos out there on the internet of athletes crying and coaches screaming!! Pancracia Sirvent is a judge, not a coach, not a choreographer, never a gymnast or competitor, but just a judge!
And than it all started...
Pancracia Sirvent had the RFEG hire a lawyer who beggan to translate my Blog to her!! Pancracia Sirvent paid that lawyer with RFEG money for months! Pancracia Sirvent along with that same lawyer, Ignasio Marron and Antonio Esteban, pulled Efrossina Angelova out of her scheduled training practices and had her come into the offices alone and threaten to fire her on numerous occasions - if she did not convince me to take my personal Blog down!! Which of coarse I refused to do and which prompted me to announce here on my Blog , that I no longer wish to work with the current RFEG!!
That was followed up by a very poorly written letter by that same lawyer that I received from Ignasio Marron and that I ended up posting here on my Blog.
Pancracia Sirvent , then hired another coach/ friend of hers to work in the Senior Group gym, even though Efrossina Angelova did not want or approve of this person's coaching abilities! So, the Entrenadora of the Senior Group team is not allowed to choose the staff she wants to work with?? Why? Why is Pancracia Sirvent hiring and paying people money that are not only not needed , but also not wanted!! Efrossina Angelova had to work on daily basis for months with a woman who was not qualified to do that job, a woman who took a regular pay roll!! That same woman, against Efrossina Angelova's wishes was flown in and registered and fully accommodated during the 2010 WC in Moscow, even though the RFEG had no money to pay for the hotel rooms of their gymnasts and staff.
Let's call that woman - Cathy Xaudaró.
I think it's important to mention here that as the choreographer of the Spanish Group Team - I - Stella Angelova - travelled and all of my accommodations at the WC Portimao 2009 were totally and completely paid for personally by Efrossina Angelova!! Not one dollar was taken from the RFEG, because ... they could not afford it!
So, this is the very very short version of Pancracia Sirvent and her endeavors as the Director of the Spanish RG program...
